Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion)

The ion coming from the metal Lithium is used in Energizer’s rechargeable batteries. It is the best technology as it has:-

• High energy density: lots of energy and limited weight which is better for your back when usuing hand-held tools
• No memory effect: other battery technologies, especially those containing nickel, will not be able to reach their maximum charge level after many charge~discharge cycles
• Low self-discharge: even when stored on the shelf, batteries can self-discharge. Li-ion batteries discharge 2 to 3% per month, which is one of the lowest on the market

Amperage

The bigger the amperage you have, the longer the battery will last. Typically, a 4Ah battery will give your tool double the running time than a 2Ah battery. If you want to increase run time, you can buy a spare battery that can be used when the first goes flat.
