Yale Beeline friction rope (10mm)

This rope is similar to the 8mm Bee Line, with one big difference. The core of this rope is made out of Polyester not vectran, like the 8mm Bee Line.

Bee-Line is the first rope designed to wick the heat of friction away from a knot. The “Power of Aramid” is brought to bear in this roes structure. Technora Aramid fibre has heat resistance through 427°C (800°F) and excellent cut resistance.

In use kinetic energy caused by rappelling on the knot or friction hitch, is converted into thermal energy. If left with no place to go it can melt your rope. In introducing Aramid fibre into the rope a higher level of heat can be tolerated without damage to either the cord or the climbing line.

Tip for when ordering to make a prussik loop.

No 1. Double the length of the rope you require the total length to be. (example a 50cm prussik loop will be 100cm)

No 2. Now add 60 cm (this is the length you will need for the knot)

Total. 160cm length of rope will make a 50cm prussik loop (with the right size tails)
