Yale Silverstreak cool 10mm friction rope

SILVERSTREAK accessory cord is manufactured from 100% Polyester using the same techniques as YALE Portland Braid. The core however is manufactured from the same fibres used in Double Esterlon which gives this cord a massive tensile strength of 2000kg. The outer cover has been tightened to give and maintain a rounder finish. This accessory cord is widely used to create friction hitches and prussik loops as it has an excellent knottable quality.

Tip for when ordering to make a prussik loop.

No 1. Double the length of the rope you require the total length to be. (example a 50cm prussik loop will be 100cm)

No 2. Now add 60 cm (this is the length you will need for the knot)

Total. 160cm length of rope will make a 50cm prussik loop (with the right size tails)
